 Great News! Minimize

It Finally Tracks!
Bakersfield, California

February 27, 2008

Tired of hearing "No, it is not an asset tracker, it is for Navagition only?"
jeremytrack2dlcropped.jpg

Tired of waiting for a local company that can customize a tracking solution for you?

Tired of waiting for a simple, low cost, web based live tracking system you can setup yourself?

Wait no longer - WhereIsIt now features live vechicle tracking and is available to anyone who has the navagitional system and wants to know where their assets are. And the great news is that for a short time, it's a FREE addon. That's right - it's totally FREE, given you have a working internet connection (wireless access point in the field or an air card). If you don't have mobile internet, you can get Verizon's $59 per month unlimited high speed internet that has pretty good coverage of the USA.

Check the forum thread for more information.

More detail will be in the March 15 edition of the Anatesco News. If you are not signed up for the newsletter, please do so. There is a signup banner on every page of this site.

 More News! Minimize

Ever have the problem of typing a well id into WhereIsIt and the system cannot find it?

If so then you are probably using an older WhereIsIt version and you should get a newer one from your Anatesco contact.

  • The problem is that older editions of the system search for exactly what is typed into the well id box or the one selected from the drop down list box.
    • If you are looking for Monte Cristo2 3456 for example, and you type in MC2 3456 you will not find what you are looking for if it is listed in the database as M2 3456.
  • Newer versions, however, allow for well id pattern matching.
    • If you don't know the well prefix or suffix, just type in the base well number
    • In this case, type in 3456 and a fly-out box will populate with all wells in the database that match that pattern, regardless of the prefix or suffix.
    • Double click from the displayed candidates to plot the desired well

Thanks to Mike Prichard of Aera Energy, LLC for this suggestion.

According to Darin DiOrio, a contractor working in the Kern River field, California, this new feature has eliminated over 99% of the wells not found by his people. "The wells were always in there, we weren't typing in the right name - all we have to do now is get part of the well name right. The net result is that we have found everything we have looked for since the latest upgrade ... " says DiOrio.

A cool tool made even cooler, thanks to Mr.Prichard.

Thanks again Mike!
